Dr. Lindsey J. Kimura
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Lindsey Kimura has been serving Hawaiʻi families for more than 31 years through dedicated private practice. A graduate of Kamehameha Schools, he continued his studies within the University of Hawaiʻi system before majoring in chemistry at Washington State University. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College in 1982, building the foundation for a career focused on whole-body wellness and long-term healing.
Dr. Kimura specializes in subluxation and wellness care, helping patients move toward optimal health through chiropractic adjustments, nutritional guidance, proper exercise, stretching, and reducing daily toxin exposure. His approach blends clinical expertise with practical, everyday tools that support a healthier lifestyle.
He received advanced training through the International Academy of Chiropractic Industrial Consultants and later developed a successful Back School program dedicated to preventing and rehabilitating back and neck injuries. Dr. Kimura is also the president and owner of Ergonomic Consultants of Hawaiʻi, where he helps companies create safer and more effective work environments for their employees.
Athletes of all ages seek out Dr. Kimura for his insight into performance, injury prevention, and recovery. His experience competing in the 2014 CrossFit Games gave him a deeper understanding of the physical demands placed on high-performing athletes and strengthened his ability to support their goals.
Despite his extensive work with professionals and athletes, Dr. Kimura’s passion has always been caring for families. He especially enjoys treating young children and infants to help them build strong foundations for lifelong health. His heart for teaching and guiding patients shines through in every interaction, as he empowers them to make informed choices, strengthen their bodies, and experience the full benefits of chiropractic care.
Our Story
Hawaiʻi Wellness Care was built from a legacy of genuine connection and patient-centered healing. Our Dad (Dr. Armando Garza) dedicated his life to caring for people in a way that felt personal and rooted in trust. He believed that the power that made the body can heal the body, and he shared that belief with every person who walked through his doors.
Growing up around his work, we saw how he cared for patients far beyond the adjustment table. He listened, supported, and met people where they were. His practice grew through real relationships and the way he made people feel cared for.
When he passed, many of his patients encouraged us to keep the doors open so the community could continue to receive the care they relied on. Although none of us followed his medical path, we understood the heart behind his work and wanted to carry that forward in a way that felt true to who he was.
Today, Hawaiʻi Wellness Care is a continuation of that foundation. With the support of Dr. Lindsey Kimura, our medical director and chiropractor, we are rebuilding the practice with clarity and intention. Our focus is on chiropractic care that is personal, attentive, and rooted in whole-body wellness.
We are also expanding into a collaborative wellness space, creating room for other practitioners to join us in offering care that supports the mind, body, and spirit. This new chapter honors where we came from while allowing Hawaiʻi Wellness Care to grow into a place that reflects our values and the needs of our community.
Our story is still unfolding, but its heart remains the same. Care that listens. Healing that begins with connection. A vision inspired by the belief that the body is designed to move toward balance and wholeness.
